Teachers' Day is celebrated every
year on September 5 in India so as to commemorate the birth of Dr. Sarvepalli
Radhakrishan, the second President of the nation. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan
was a philosopher and a great teacher whose contribution toward the Indian
education system is undeniable.
Teachers’ Day celebration was
held among children of DPS-JC and DPS Kids. It was well organized from Nursery
to Class 1. The actual celebration started with lighting of the lamp by Mr.
George Joseph, the principal and Mrs. Kalpana singh, the head mistress of the
school. The morning assembly was organized by
Ms. Preeteti singh, the coordinator
of pre primary classes. Mrs. Sudipta Chakrabouty inspired the kids with
stupendous thoughts. Kids were well informed the specialty of the day.
There were also many interesting
programmes from kids. Miss. Vertika Sharma (class I.B) well expressed her
thoughts on teacher’s Day by delivering in English and Hindi speech by Miss.
Kritiks Sharma class I.B. Miss. Aditi Pandey recited a heartening poem on behalf
of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan. Kids enjoyed a lot spending a wonderful day for
their loving teachers.
The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Kalpan Singh, the head
mistress of the School and the celebration got over by singing the National
Anthem.
