ACTIVITY: EID UL ZUHA CELEBRATION

May the magic of this Eid bring lots of happiness in your life and may you celebrate it with all your close friends & may it fill your heart with wonders. Eid Mubarak!!!
Eid ul-zuha, 'Feast of the Sacrifice', also called the "Sacrifice Feast", is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismaeel, as an act of obedience to God's command. Before he sacrificed his son God intervened by sending his angel Jibra'il (Gabriel), who then put a ram in his son's place. In commemoration of this, an animal is sacrificed and divided into three parts: one third of the share is given to the poor and needy; another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors; and the remaining third is retained by the family.
In the Islamic lunar calendar, Eid ul-zuha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. In the international (Gregorian) calendar, the dates vary from year to year drifting approximately 11 days earlier each year.
Our pre primary children of DPS-JC & DPS KIDS celebrated “Eid ul-zuha” by wearing Eid ul-zuha ethnic dress of different styles which in fact looked the environment awesome and conducive for the real Eid celebration. By this celebration, kids were made known how to respect other religion and culture. They also had delicious Sewai Sweets, spent a bit time for watching videos related with Eid. Mrs. Sabina Khan shared the story of Eid ul zuha with Kids. They were very keen to listen the story with lots of enthusiasm and exuberance behind Eid. At the end of the celebration kids hugged each other wishing Eid. The best well dressed kids of each class were awarded prizes on this auspicious occasion by their own respective class teacher.
It was really fascinating and mesmerizing celebration. It was another memorable moment as far as children of DPS-JC & DPS KIDS.
