The
importance of grandparents in the lives of children can’t be denied. Before our
culture become so mobile, it was common for children to grow up surrounded by
extended family, including one or both sets of grandparents; who often moved in
with their adult children when they became frail.
Threading
its way through several changes, Grand parenting has maintained a strong
presence in our society.
If
not for them, our grandchildren would have had no anchor.
To
appreciate & recognize the pivotal role of grandparents in a child’s life,
Delhi Public School, Janjgir-Champa observed grandparents, day on 26th
September 2016. It was such a wonderful event with the amalgamation of elderly
men & women showing their blessings on our children & the school as a
whole.
The
occasion was graced by Patron madam Smt. Meena Devi Dewangan & our own
AVP-Sir Shri K.K. Dewangan.
All
had lots of fun with games and entertainment shows organized by them. Principal
Sir in his welcome address mentioned the vital role of grandparents in growing
the future citizens of the nation.
On
this occasion a few grandparents too expressed their joy and gratitude.
All
and all, it was a wonderful gesture of love & respect.
