The wealth of the nation is its air, water, soil, forests, minerals,
rivers, lakes, oceans, scenic beauty, wildlife habitats and biodiversity. And
we the citizen are the caretaker of these assets. Keeping in mind the same,
Earth Day has been celebrated in DPS-JC on 21st April 2018. A special
musical drama has been presented by the students, which was supervised by Saira
Khan Mam, Subhas Yadav Sir, and Harmeet Kaur Mam. The musical drama simply
conveyed the message that our responsibilities increase with the fact that we do not
inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
Apart
from this formal celebration, an initiative has also been taken by students of Classes
6th to 12th in which they stepped out of the premises to
spread awareness about earth and its condition. The students visited District
Court Janjgir-Champa, where they met Mr Rajesh Shrivastava District and Session
Judge Janjgir-Champa and Ms Udai Laxmi Parmar Chief Judicial Magistrate
Janjgir-Champa. Students took oath to save Earth, followed by the message
oriented painting on the walls of District and Session Court. The efforts put
by the student of DPS-JC, have been greatly appreciated by the officials and
the students were also awarded by the certificates for the same.
