Apart from commemorating victories, sports meet also aims at imparting
lessons on sportsman spirit and camaraderie to children. To instill these
values, we at DPS-JC organized the Annual Sports Meet 2017-18 on 6th November.
The school playground was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome
atmosphere. The programme began with a melodious welcome song. The Chief Guest
Mr. Ajay Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Janjgir-Champa and the President of
DPS-JC Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan graced the occasion with their presence. The
Chief Guest addressed the esteemed gathering & emphasized on the importance
of sports in a child’s life. The students enthralled the audience with their
energetic athletic skills & other performance. The day ended with the guest
giving away the most awaited winner house trophy to the “Vayu House” and the
best athlete trophies to the winners.
