Earth Day
is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held
to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
Education
is the foundation for progress. We need to build a global citizenry fluent in
the concepts of climate change and aware of its unprecedented threat to our
planet. We need to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in
defense of environmental protection.
Students
of DPS-JC were given opportunities to decorate soft boards of their own class
rooms and well as the soft board of four divided houses. It was an enriching
experience for students to get to know more about the importance of earth day.
It was celebrated from Nursery to 12 standards.
Special
assembly was conducted in the school and theme presentation was done on the
importance of ‘earth day’.
As the
part of earth Day, our students of DPS-JC especially classes 6 to 8 went for
Cleaning at Swami Vivekananda Garden which is under municipality area. Students
also urged near by the people for cleaning and taking care of Garden.
