Farewell - Class 12

12 long years of school life; innumerable memories, some pleasant, a few sad too, but all and all, 12 fabulous years of existence with the most wonderful people on earth – Teachers and Friends.
DPS-JC was all set to bid adieu, of course stirred with blessings and plenty of good wishes, to its first batch of Class 12 – Farewell to Class 12.
Such occasions bring out mixed feelings. Sadness on one hand for the fact that all those whom the teachers guided, mentored and nurtured with love, care and affection, were going to part from them, while on the other hand, it gave joy as well since the children would be stepping onto the second phase of their life, success and happiness awaiting them.
On 3rd March 2017, DPS-JC organized a grand Farewell Function for the out-going Class XII students. Being the immediate juniors, the onus fell on Class 11 to say the final goodbye to their seniors
The stage was set. The programme was attended by President Sir, Shri Raj Kishore Dewangan, Principal Sir and all the teachers of the school. Host Class, Class 11 students had made big preparations. Students of Class 12 attended the event smartly attired. Some of them expressed their feelings and seeked blessings of all, some became nostalgic while recollecting incidents of their past. A few sang songs too. Students of Class 11 also performed on the dais and entertained all.
Amongst the teachers, Mrs Kalpana Singh addressed the students, extended her best wishes and blessed all for the forthcoming Board Exams.
Principal Sir in his address lay emphasis on remaining positive however disappointing the situation may be. He urged the students to work hard and come out with flying colours. He also said that this wasn’t the only exam in their life;  it was just another exam, and thus one should not allow stress to overcome him/her.
President Sir in his speech echoed the sentiments of Principal Sir and advised the students to never leave the path of hard work and perseverance. He said that it was only hard work that would lead them to success.
Finally each student of Class 12 was presented a memento so that they would cherish for long.
After a sumptuous lunch, all departed hoping for wonderful results.
