SCIENCE AND ART EXHIBITION 2017

“Science is everything that sharpens the desire to know, and Art includes everything that stimulates the desire to live.”

While Art is the beautiful way of doing things, Science is the effective way of doing things.

10^th February 2017, and the morn at DPS-JC had an exclusively different colour. The artistic endeavour of our tiny scientists and artists were on display in the Panorama of Science and Art Exhibition.

The science models were wonderful works of out-of-the-world imagination and innovativeness. The artistic efforts of our young artists were delightful display of lovely imagination given colours on plain canvas.

Everyone waited with bated breath as the Chief Guest, Dr. S. Bharathi Dasan, Collector, Janjgir-Champa, made a grand entry to the school campus. He was accorded a warm welcome in a traditional way, as is the practice at our DPS temple.

The Chief Guest was accompanied by our President Sir, Shri Raj Kishore Dewangan and our Principal Sir, Shri Mani Bhushan Choubey. The Chief Guest cut the ribbon amidst rapturous claps, and immediately started visiting the various sections. He interacted with the students, asked them about the models and a few questions related to them. The children smartly responded to the queries and earned praise from the Chief Guest. Science Models titled - Digital Safety and Security, Smart City Concept, Wind Mill, Air Purifier and Sense Piano, etc, and in Art - Collage Painting, Portrait and Landscape Painting earned special praise.

In a formal gathering, the Chief Guest in his speech apart from appreciating the efforts of the students, stressed on the importance of the opportunities that children get at school to nurture their potential. He also praised the School Managing Committee for being instrumental in providing the students a wonderful platform to develop their all-round abilities.

Since the Chief Guest had to leave early to attend to his urgent assignments, he bid good bye to all, but not before putting on record his appreciation for the commendable efforts of the students.

Thereafter, President Sir visited each and every section and had a lively interaction with the students.

A wonderful day of joy, excitement, cheer and attainment came to a close.
