On 6th January 2017, children of Class 5
visited the Zila Panchayat at Janjgir-Champa. As many as 66 students turned up
for the visit. Children were given first-hand knowledge as to how the Govt.
Offices function at various levels. They were briefed about Gram-Panchayat and
its control office. Children were privileged to have an interaction with Shri
Ajeet Vasant (IAS), CEO, Zila Panchayat.
Children also visited Livelihood College nearby.
Children came to know how the college trains and creates opportunities for
unemployed youth. The college also provides placement opportunities for them.
It was a very fruitful visit. Besides learning
about the functions and operations of various Govt. Offices, children enjoyed a
lot.
