Our Children, Our Pride

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is – “Without the voice of students, schools serve no purpose.”
Truly, students bringing glory to the school is by far the greatest joy and pride an educational institute can get solace in.
Our students are our pride and they are our biggest motivation and inspiration.
DPS-JC was once again glorified by the achievement of its budding talent.
Rishabh Sharaff and Deepak Kumar Sahu, both students of Class 12, recently participated in a Monologue Competition on 4th August 2016, organized by ELTA@I, Bilaspur Chapter, titled – “SHAKESPEARE ALIVE 2016” commemorating the 400th death anniversary of the greatest Poet, Writer and Dramatist in English Literature, Sir William Shakespeare.
The oratory was of exceedingly high standard. Children spoke with utmost elan. There were participants from as many as 10 schools comprising around 35 of them. Each appeared to be better than the other. Each put in whole-hearted effort to outshine his/her fellow competitor. The ease and poise they maintained while they spoke was simply mind-boggling.
Our children too matched them and no wonder, Deepak Sahu was the deserving rank holder. He stood 3rd amongst all. It was a proud moment when one of the judges and the Chief Guest, Principal, DAV Bilaspur praised our students profusely. They even went on to say that though Rishabh could not win a position, he was the one who set the tone and mood.
If this was an achievement worth praise, our Quiz team comprising Pranay Gupta (12th ), Pratik Gupta (12th ), and Harsh Agrawal (11th ) too is due for a pat at the back.
On 6th August, 2016 these 3 wizards participated in the Quiz contest organized by the same group. Though our team was unable to win the contest, children performed exceedingly well, and at one time, were even leading.
But just as everyday cannot be our day, it just wasn’t their day. However, the effort did not go unnoticed. They were appreciated profusely.
Truly said, “ It never ends until it ends.”
These children certainly deserve praise. And, its only the beginning; there are many more such glittering feathers to be added to the already bright DPS-JC cap.
