National Level Dance Competition Conducted by The UYSS, Cuttack (Odisha)



                                                   

Culture is a ceaseless, continuous cauldron for all creative minds to cook and present acts, scenes, dance and music of different genres for the ears and eyes of the discerning public.
Here at DPS-JC we have always tried our level best and will at all times continue to attempt to bring out the “latent talents” of our learners & tutees in all spheres of cross cultural Stage Presentations.

Between the 5th & 7th July 2015 The Utkal Yuva Sanskrutik Sangh, Cuttack(ODISHA) an Associate Member of ASSITEJ India (Aizawl,Mizoram), part of ASSITEJ International, Croatia and also Associate Member of NIPA(National Institute of Performing Arts), New Delhi & IATA-Estonia(Corporate Body of UNESCO) had organized An ALL INDIA DRAMA, DANCE & MUSIC COMPETITION under the banner of “India Theatre Olympiad” where 8 Indian States’ participants were the stake holders.
Many participants had gathered from MP, WB, Maharashtra, CG, Jharkhand, Assam, Manipur & Odisha to take holy dips in the “ocean of culture”.
Our Dance Teacher Mr. Subhash Yadav had taken only 4 well trained students with him to partake in various categories……..3 girls---Jigyasa Dewangan of 9-B, Rishika Sharma of 9-A, Jhanvi Ray of 9-A & 1 boy---Chirag P. Kumar of 7-B.
All the 4 students won Mementoes & Certificates in their respective performances which are described in detail in the following chart:

 Dance…Music & Folk Art are part n parcel of all culture and we do take all Art Forms seriously and follow a systematic method to ingrain all such finer sensibilities in all our young learners in a way that they imbibe and reflect whenever the occasions demand.
