“Healthy
mind resides in a healthy body.” is an adage known to all. Still many times
many people amongst us fall prey to unhealthy habits and are thus trapped by
the vicious cycle of avoidable diseases and chemically destabilizing
medications.
Our nature
ordained body can be very easily kept spic and span and in perfect state of
glowing HEALTH by following the dictums of YOGA asanas regularly which
have the heavenly power to bring in “synchronicity” and overall balance in our
day to day existence.
Thanks to
the timely intervention of our Honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi that the UN
General Assembly declared the 21st June as International Day of
Yoga to be followed and celebrated in 192 countries of the world.
What the
great sage Patanjali formulated and devised thousands of years back is the most
relevant and practical method and intervention to keep oneself fit and fine in
all respects.
This Sunday
on 21-06-2015 along with the entire country and the world all here at DPS-JC
participated in the Celebration of World Yoga Day in response to the clarion
call to embrace healthy mind and body for all concerned.
Special
arrangements have been made to partake in the practice session in The Special
Assembly coordinated by the CCA Coordinator in which the role of mentor was
played by Mr. Rajendra Upadhyay and the Yoga Asanas were practically displayed
by the PTI Mr. Piyush Mishra and Sri Prabhu Narayan Tiwari, teacher of Hindi.
Four senior
students: Deepak Kr. Sahu(XI-Sc.), Swati Kumari(XI-Sc.), Sonu Kr.
Pandit(XI-Sc.) & Neha Modi(X-B) presented well prepared papers during the
display of the Asanas.
The very
compact, well orchestrated and organized function was concluded after the
explanation and display of 12 Asanas by four Pranayams elucidated by our
Sanskrit teacher Mr. R. Upadhyay.
The inherent
childish glow on the faces were visible amply when many of them came forward to
thank the Principal Mr. C.D.Pani and the staff members for organizing such an
event.
Yoga
promotes good health…….all must follow wholeheartedly to reap the inherent
wealth.
Let the
blogger in penman wish one and all to live a better and fuller life following
the heavenly dictums of Patanjali.
