ENGLISH POEM RECITATION

With an inspiring aim of promoting confidence and speaking skills through poetry among school students, an Inter class poem recitation competition was held at DPS-JC & DPS-KIDS  on 25.07.2018 for the Pre Primary classes. The purpose of this competition was to instill a love for poetry and to develop recitation skills amongst the students. All the students of pre primary classes participated in this competition with great enthusiasm and recited poems with beautiful actions and expressions which reflected their concern for animals, environment, vegetables and fruits. In this poem recitation competition the students had to excel in memorizing and reciting the poetry of their choice with confidence and great control in voice modulation, expressions and other valid criteria. The recitation of the poem left everyone mesmerized.

PUPPET SHOW

‘Puppet Show’ a completely new concept in school – what DPS-JC & DPS-KIDS organized to show that the school is concerned for each and every aspects of budding talents. A Puppet Show was organized along with story telling session for the students of Pre-Primary section. The concerned teachers enacted the stories with help of puppets to make it an attractive tools for learning. The students were told about the value of community helpers in our everyday life. They also learnt the value of family members. The tiny tots were instructed to avoid junk food and opt for the healthy habits.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

“ If your action surprise others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader.”

A bright Sunny encountered a splendid ceremony that set the student council of DPS- JC rolling in action. The official ceremony of conferring the titles and investting powers to the members of the school council was organized at the investiture ceremony at DPS –JC on 11 July 2018. The inanguration of the ceremony was a resplendent moment when our chief Guest Mr. Niraj Kumar Bansod Dist. Collector J-C And Special Guest  Mr. Ajeet Vasant, CEO Zila Panchayat availed their bening presence. The event did notice the ecstatic applause by the students when the mellifluent – voice of the anchor commenced the proceedings and announced the names of the premier selected nominees i. e. the Head Boy, Head Girl, Cultural Secretary, Sports Secretary and House Prefects. The event began with the school band giving a ceremonial welcome to the Chief Guest and the dignitaries present there. The lighting of the lamp marked the beginning of the event. The school choir sang the welcome sang the welcome sang with great vigor and voice laced with pride and confidence. The School Council members were conferred upon with Sashes and Badges by the Chief Guest and the flags were handed over, a symbol of representation of handing over the responsibility to the new office bearers. The Chief Guest administered the oath to the newly appointed leaders.

The Chief Guest addressed the leaders by asking them to be good leaders, shouldering responsibility efficiently.  He enlightened them by stating that they have to be role models to their peer group and set the standards high for their juniors to follow The Principal advised the students to discharge their duties sincerely and nurture their fellow school mates in becoming good leaders in future. The School President delivered his Presidential speech promising to abide by the qualities of a true leader and keeping the mantle of DPS- JC flying high. A dance rendition by the junior students added colour and vibrancy to the event.

On this very auspicious day, The RDMS- Pratibha G.K. and Drawing Competition certificates,  Trophies and cash prizes were given away to the scholars by the Chief Guest The cerficate and medals of Science Olympiad were also distributed By the President of DPS-JC Mr. Raj Kishore Dewangan.

WORLD BLOOD DONOR’S DAY

Blood donation is the noblest donation on this earth. Donate blood save lives.

A drop of blood can save a precious life. It cannot be prepared artificially but can be obtained only from human by donation so the World Blood Donor’s Day was celebrated by the students of DPS-JC differently to mark the day as special one on 14^th June, 2018 at Civil Hospital, Janjgir.

A group of students along with the Principal and teachers went there to celebrate the day differently. The event was graced by Mr. Neeraj Kumar Bansod, the District Collector as the Chief Guest and Mr. Ajeet Vasant, the CEO, Zila Panchayat as special guest. The versatile students of DPS-JC staged a skit on the importance on “Why do we celebrate this day?” The students delivered speeches on the some theme. Overall it was a praiseworthy attempt of DPS-JC.

DOCTOR’S DAY CELEBRATION

1^st July – Doctor’s Day, an annual observance is aimed appreciating physicians everywhere in India. Doctor’s Day In India is celebrated to honour the legendary doctor, the second Chief Minister of West Bengal and the Bharat Ratna Awardee Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. The celebration of the Doctor’s Day is an attempt to emphasis on the value of doctors in our lives.

The students of DPS-JC celebrated the auspicious day at Civil Hospital, Janjgir on 2^nd July, 2018. The event was graced by CMAHO Dr. V. Jaiprakash as Chief Guest. He inaugurated the event with auspicious lamp lighting. Students welcomed the doctors with hand made badges and bouquet. School HM delivered the welcome speech. The students performed skit and PPT Presentation on the honour of doctors. It was a remarkable tribute to all the doctors who have made relentless efforts towards achieving the goal irrespective of the odds.
