Fancy Dress
Competition
July 8th
(Sub-Juniour classes (II & III)
“Guests were told to come in fancy dress. One of them turned
up at the fancy dress party as a footballer”
Fuel their imagination with our range of children's fancy
dress, perfect for swashbuckling pirates, beautiful princesses and faster than the
speed of light superheroes! There are many annual events that generate the
chance to dress up in fancy dress costumes; Christmas, New Year, birthdays, Hen
and Stag parties, and Book Day, amongst others. As a part of Co curricular
activities, DPS-JC organized a fancy dress competition for the kids of II and III
classes. It was exceedingly outstanding performance and all students enjoyed
very well.

Quiz Competition
Juniour classes (IV & V)
a test of knowledge, especially
as a competition between individuals or teams as a form of entertainment. A
quiz is a form of game or mind sport, in which the players (as individuals or
in teams) attempt to answer questions correctly. In some countries, a quiz is
also a brief assessment used in education and similar fields to measure growth
in knowledge, abilities, and/or skills. DPS-JC too conducted quiz competition
among junior classes. It was well conducted for enhancement of general
knowledge students are supposed to go through different news papers and TV news
channels and various subjects like, Indian
History, Polity, Economy, Environment, Culture, and Geography, etc. It was
really disconcerting to see how well all students participated to showcase
their knowledge.

Table Tennis
Competition for Boys and girls
Middle classes (VI to VIII) boys singles
Table tennis is governed by the
worldwide organization International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), founded in
1926. Though table tennis player grip their rackets in various ways, their
grips can be classified into two major families of styles, penhold and
shakehand. The game is played by two players(singles) or four players (double)
who hit a 40 mm diameter ball made of celluloid or plastic, back and forth over
(or around) the net, using table tennis racket made of wood covered with
pimpled rubber. The rules of table tennis do not prescribe the manner in which
one must grip the racket, and numerous grips are employed. It was a gorgeous
moment as for as DPS-JC to have table tennis competition among students of
Middle Class. It was a neck to neck competition even among the girls and boys.

Football competition
Seniour classes (IX to XII)
Football is a family of team
sports that involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball with the foot to score
a goal. Unqualified, the word football is understood to refer to whichever form
of football is the most popular in the regional context in which the word
appears. Football is India's second most popular sport, next to the game of
cricket. The senior students of DPS-JC had a tough competition of football
among four groups. Spectators were mesmerized with the vigorous performance of
our students on the ground. Final of the foot ball game was conducted the same
day. Ultimately the final was held between VAYU HOUSE and PRITHVI HOUSE and it
was really head to head competition.
