Activities were organized in school.
Maths
Jamboree
“If people do not
believe that mathematics is simple, it is only because they do not realize how
complicated life is”
Sub Junior (II to III) boys and girls
As a part of curricular activities, the students of DPS-JC had
an opportunity to showcase their research and its impact on different fields in
maths. This event will provide increased professional opportunities and access
to a large aptitude of mental maths. That opportunity provided students with
tricks and methodology that help them get answers of toughest questions. It was
held among Junior Boys and Girls.

Chess
competition
Junior (IV to V) boys and girls & Middle (VI to VIII)
boys and girls.
“A win by an unsound combination, however showy fills me
with artistic horror”
A strong memory, concentration, imagination and a strong
will is required to become a chess player. We could witness these incredible talents
among the students of DPS-JC. It was awesome and wonderful tactical game which
was purely dependent on time and control. Chess was conducted among all four
houses.

Debate competition (SENIOUR)
“The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to
strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate
within that spectrum....
Allowing students to research
both sides of an issue and then debate and debrief awakens their critical
thinking in a powerful way. Further, debate formats provide a safe environment
in which to discuss controversial issues. Allowing students to switch and
re-debate on the opposing side strengthens their command of the material and
their ability to take multiple perspectives.
School debate competition was
held among four houses at activity hall on 24th June. Students from
classes 9 to 12 classes partook in the completion. Ms.Raj Rajeshwari Singh, one of the coordinators of CCA of our school
anchored the competition a.Mrs. Saradha Rani, assisted us for the better
participation and organization of the debate. Judges of the debate were Mr.
Anish Singh and Mrs. Archana Swamy.
The theme of the debate was “demonetisation”. House incharge teachers were asked to select
four students from each group and set motion of the debate. Two houses were
prepared to speak for and two were against.
The audience highly appreciated
the debate. The participation in debate provided the students lots of
opportunities for instantaneous thinking and speaking. The students were able
to acquire fluency in their spoken English. The audience also experienced the
reasoning power among students at the time of debate. It helped the
participants to learn how to organize their ideas in a systematic way.
At last audience got an
opportunity to evaluate the positive and negative realm of the debate
