PARENTS' DAY AT DPS-JC

The most beautiful thing in this world is to see your parents smiling and knowing that you are the reason behind that smile.
The sacrifices, beliefs, and values parents implant in their children determine the person they grow up to be. A child is like a sponge that absorbs their parents' thoughts and viewpoints that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Appreciating this selfless contribution in nurturing and shaping a beautiful bud's career, on 18 January 2017 Parents' Day was celebrated at Delhi Public School, Janjgir-Champa with great enthusiasm. Patron Mam, Smt Meena Devi Dewangan  graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while our Vice-President Sir, Shri Purushottam Dewangan added charm to the occasion as the Guest of Honour, as well as a parent, very much with-in his own rights. Ms Madhurima Sahu, Teacher, DPS-JC, co-ordinated the event. Mrs Sudipta Chakraborty, Teacher, DPS-kids, presented the welcome address. It was even more delightful to find a tiny talent, Puneet Senapati, a student of Class 1, welcoming the guests and audience. Abhinav Goyal, a student of Class 1, recited a beautiful poem bringing into light the love and affection of parents for their children. Thereafter, there were some beautiful songs and dances presented by the children of DPS-Kids, and students of Nursery and KG and class 1 of DPS-JC.
Children love to play and have fun. For a change, it was the turn of the parents to journey down memory lane, back to their childhood days, and enjoy some moments of nostalgia. Parents participated in sporting events with great delight and zeal. Children enjoyed a lot seeing their fathers and mothers sprinting on the tracks, stumbling, falling, getting up on their feet and running again. It was a gala show and the air was filled with great cheer and ecstasy. The Chief Guest for the occasion gave away the prizes to the proud parents who won in the sporting events.
Like everything that starts comes to an end, the event too reached its end. Mrs Sandhya Mishra, Teacher, DPS-Kids, proposed the vote of thanks marking the end of the event.
No love is greater than MOM'S love,
No care is greater than DAD'S care.
