India is the cradle of
the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the
grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Our most
valuable and most instructive materials in the history of mankind are treasured
up in India only - So aptly quoted by Mark Twain.
Such is the glory of
our nation and richness of its rich and adorable cultural heritage.
To think and realise
that we are into the 70th year of Independence, breathing free under the blue
in a nation that once was overcast in chains of slavery fills our hearts with
pride and pleasure...
DPS-JC Celebrated the
70th Independence Day with exemplary fervour, jest and zeal. The whole
atmosphere rebeverated in the tunes of the patriotic songs that raised
goosebumps in every individual...
Chief Guest Shri
Purushottam Dewangan, VP - DPS-JC after being accorded a traditional and warm
welcome, unfurled the national tricolour amidst the tunes of our National
Anthem. AVP Shri Kamal Kishore Dewangan, Guest of Honour for the day,
accompanied the Chief Guest, and was evidently in his usual charm.
The group song was an
expression of joy and patriotism...
Speeches by the
students had feelings of love, dedication and sacrifice for the motherland.
Principal Sir in his
speech congratulated all focusing on the effort and courage shown by our great
leaders.
Our Chief Guest in his
speech had a word of advice for the children. He stressed on the importance of
remaining positive however unfavourable the situation and conditions may be. He
too congratulated all.
It was a wonderful day
that ended wonderfully. Everyone departed with sweet in their mouths and
sweetness in their hearts.
