Special Awareness Drive By The Leprosy Mission Trust India

The team from TLMTI, Delhi under the guidance and leadership of Team Leader: Media Advocacy, Mr. Sabyesachi Bharti and his Associate Ms. Chetna Verma visited our school at around 09:30 AM on 11.04.2015 to conduct one Leprosy Awareness Workshop through Lecture, Quiz and Drama presentation to make the children, teachers and all others about the prevalence and incidence of leprosy cases in India.

As about 60% of the new cases of leprosy in the world unfolds in our country, hence it is high time that we all try our level best to increase the awareness level about the “bacteria-spread” disease which can be controlled easily and properly by “timely intervention”.

Bookmarks, folders & planners were given away to all the students to increase their curiosity and belongingness to know more about this otherwise dreaded disease to take their help and participation in the long and arduous process of eradication.

The show was anchored and organized by the CCA Coordinator Mr. Pradip K. Banerjee , D.I. Mr. Pankaj Dixit and Dance/Drama Teacher Mr. Subhas Yadav.

All teachers and students found the detailed description by Mr. S. Bharti, the Team Leader: M.A. very informative and knowledgable.
