The 66th Republic Day Celebration…….26th January, 2015

Celebrations make life worth living…….pleasure is just not in the ‘taking’ but giving, sharing and caring. Respecting the motherland and the blood and toil put by the noblest patriotic souls to make her free from the clutches of the gory imperialistic powers is what a National Celebration calls for.
In the year 1950, on this day of January we Indians got our Constitution and the status of being known the world over as a Democratic Republic in our own right.
Since that beautiful wintry dawn we have been making & meeting innumerable deadlines to celebrate the celebration of a series of successes in a plethora of multifarious fields…from agriculture to aviation, from DRDO to Mars Orbiter Mission, sericulture to cooperative federations, banking & insurance sector reforms to internationally benchmarked educational institutions, sports and games to multiplexes and malls, poverty alleviation programmes to R.T.I. & R.T.E., we are on a multilane super-expressway of ceaselessly continuous progress pathway.
Having said all that what depict  true national pride, let me now come down to the local flavour….the talk of the town-DPS-JC and our Celebrating the Republic Day with marked pomp & show……grit & glamour….promises & polar-paradigms.
Like each year this year also the Republic Day programme started with unfurling the Tricolour in the hands of the Honourable President Sri Rajkishore Dewangan followed by the National Anthem and March Past by the students. Then there was the turn of the patriotic flavour and fervour in the form a song “jawano baas yehi din hai, laga do aag pani mein” by the school choir. “Hum hain India wale” is the lilting song on which a scintillating dance performance was presented to pump zeal in all.
Two young turks, Priyanshu of std.5 & Nandini of std.8 presented the speeches in Eng. & Hin. respectively expressing all the superb training that has gone into making them.
Honourable Principal Mr. C.D. Pani in his meticulously well-worded speech exhorted upon all to remember the duties of the citizens enshrined in the Constitution before thinking about the rights.
Respected President of Delhi Public School, Janjgir-Champa, Mr. Rajkishore Dewangan impressed upon the young learners to do their holy task of studying honestly and diligently. As usual he was visible in a conversational mood to show his love and care.
The day concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sayanee Franks.
Hope is the best antidote and we here at DPS-JC always move on the paths of hope to usher in a new era of REPUBLICANISM in public life of Learning……..for teaching is ceaseless learning……..
