Sports Day of the School Year means various different track and field games…….100 mtr., 200 mtr., 400 mtr., 4x100 mtr. Relay race for boys and girls. Then we have various jumps and throws in different categories……like high jump, long jump, discuss & shot-put throw. We also have wheel cart race, sack race, jalebi race, 3 legged race and hurdles race in multiple categories.
Any event that happens in the portals of any school always encompasses and spreads  good cheer amongst all by blending in some cultural inputs. Be it music or dance or a master blend of both.
This time our school has taken the local flavour of Chattishgarh in the group dance presented during the inauguration of the 4th Annual Sports Meet 2014-15 after the scintillating Welcome Song was presented in a mellifluous manner so very melodiously.
Our PET Mr. Piyush Mishra’s active role in making all sporting dreams come true can’t be forgotten by anyone. The hard labour and toil of Mr. Piyush Mishra(PET), Mr. Pankaj Dixit & Mrs. Mandeep Kaur (DI) and Mr. Pradip Banerjee (CCA I/C) in keeping the overall link with all the stakeholders of the INSTITUTION continuously alive and to maintain the various channels of communication open can never be over-emphasized.
Mrs. Prachi Pandey and Mr. Arvind Soni were the voices of the entire deliberation assisted by some more teachers. As always this year also keeping our CSR in mind we have invited the children and Heads of 3 Govt. Primary Schools from the town and felicitated them. We have arranged four different items for all those children to encourage them in their common daily lives.
The Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Kr. Agrawal by lighting the Sports Torch and handing the same over to the School Sports Captain set the ball rolling and then the Torch was carried in a relay before he lighted the main Light Stand. Two sets of gas balloons carrying the school and event’s description were released by the Chief Guest and the President of the school and then the Meet was declared OPEN after the administration of The Oath by the Chief Guest, ASP Mr. V. K. Agrawal.
Different levels of students participated in various track events after the usual Cultural Extravaganza….tiny-tots to seniors of Std. X.
Wintry cool clime added to the vigour and vitality of all the participants in a mélange of colours which coordinated the fantastic set-up……in its own brilliant way.
Mr. V.K. Agrawal , ASP highlighted the importance of participation in games and sports along with studies on a regular basis. There were 157 students who partook in various races in response to our invitation and were given a pair of school shoes each.
Because of his hectic schedule and many engagements our Chief Guest ASP Mr. V. K. Agrawal had to leave early after giving away some of the winning medals and certificates. He was felicitated with a nicely designed school memento, a shawl & shrifal by the President Sir, AVP Sir and Principal Sir respectively.
All good things and events have to come to an end and so the last item was the teachers’ tug of war which amused and entertained one and all and after that there was a hurriedly managed group photo-op. for all the staff members.
Happinezz was palpably visible in the kens of all and audible in the air. With greater hopes for the next year the curtain fell on the 4th Annual Sports Day 2014-15 when the meet was declared closed by the Honourable President of the school.
Life is a War by far…..to keep the spirit of fighting alive is one of the most important reasons to live.
See you all dear friends, participants and colleagues in the year to come with the ideas new and hope some………………………………………………………….
