Independence Day was celebrated at DPS Janjgir-Champa with
great zeal and patriotic fervor.
Note: Shree Narayan Das Swami ji
was the chief guest, while the institutions Associate vice president Mr. Kamal
Kishore Dewangan was guest of honor.
In his address to the students,
Shree Narayan Das Swamiji who has spent the last 40 years at the Swami Narayan
Temple in Baroda, cited illustrations from the scriptures as he exhorted
students to be better human beings, and better Indians.
Principal of Delhi Public
School, Janjgir-Champa Mrs. Chetna Sharma advised young Indians to rise above
empty observances and slogans and work towards making Indian independence a
reality.
A charming array of cultural
events based on patriotic themes also served to move and inspire the audience, bringing
the programme to a successful culmination.
