INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION



“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.”  - With this speech from Pandit Jawaharlal Neheru, our country rose to Independence on 15th August 1947.
DPS – JC, celebrated 72nd Independence Day of India with unprecedented Patriotic fervor on August 15 th  2018.
It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate – this day with great pomp and show. The main Program in celebrated at the Red Fort in New Delhi, Besides this day is also celebrated in every city, town, in schools, colleges and universities.
The Principal of the school was the Chief Guest of the Program. The Celebration began in the school campus with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest – followed by National anthem with patriot zeal and fervor. 
It the end, the H.M. and Principal delivered short speeches. The Principal told the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs Who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that the freedom is very Precious and we should preserve it at any cost.  She also advised the students to follow the ideals of the great people like Mahatma Gandhi, Neheru, Subhas Chandra Bose etc.
The Independence Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life this day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.
All the entertaining Programmers were repealed due to sudden demise of honourable   Governor of Chattisgarh Mr Balaram Das Tandan. The entire DPS- JC family in grieved deeply. May his soul live in peace in heaven.

STUDENTS’ COUNSELING SESSION

Modern era in engrossed in earning and spending. So today’s children are some extent are to go ahead with proper guidance but at this very initial age they need proper guidance to go forward. To upgrade the students for better future DPS-JC organized a counseling session on for the students of classes X, XI and XII on 13th August, 2018 at activity hall. The students were counseled by eminent teachers, HM and Principal. The teachers discussed and guided the students taking their reply or feedback at the same time. At the end of the session the students’ facial expression and gesture showed that it was really insightful for them.

SCIENCE MODEL MAKING COMPETITION


As per the schedule of CCA of DPS-JC, an inter house Science Model Making Competition was organized at the respective lab on 11th August, 2018. The students of classes IX to XII took part in it representing their respective houses. The theme of the competition was “Incredible India”. The students made wonderful models such as Chandrayan-I, Agni Missile-Series, Sewage Treatment Plant etc. The students show cased their talent and love for science. They explained their models very clearly before the honourable judges.

LEAF PAINTING



Leaf Painting is an art that is inherited from the ancient past. Little children should be aware of it. To create the artistic sense among the kids of DPS-JC. Leaf Painting Activity was arranged for kids of Pre Primary on 3 September 2018. The kids made different designes using various types of leaves. They painted the leaves with desired colours. The kids had a great time as they learnt with fun. The teachers helped the kids providing them information about the activity . The little children enjoyed the activity whole heartedly.

RAINBOW DAY CELEBRATION




Rainbow is a combination of seven colour.Colourful rainbow is seen in the sky during the rainy season but the pre-primary students of DPS-JC & DPS-KIDS brought it down from the sky on this earth on 27.07.2018 to celebrate the colours of the rainbow. Students came dressed in different colours of the rainbow.  A special assembly was held on the occasion where students recited rhymes and also danced on songs. The main objective was to deliver the concept of “Rainbow colours” to the children through this activity. The tiny tots had a photo session with all the Pre Primary teachers of DPS-JC. Rainbow Day was made memorable with fun and colours.
